Peakado Website Review
The Brief
Peak-a-Do had no previous website, though had a strong following of approximately 1000 on their Facebook page.
Our Approach
A thorough analysis of hair, beauty and nail competitors within the Ipswich area was undertaken. We analysed the top 30 results of each keyword and reviewed the key components of each competitor’s website to see what was common for the industry and what worked well and what didn’t to ensure the design worked for the targeted audience.
It was important to have a price list available and easily accessible to visitors. Staff were consistently having to step away from clients to answer the phone, which would usually involve answering questions about what services were provided and their prices.
Business information was added to search engine business listings as well as several business directories to improve SEO and local business search results.
User experience (UX) testing was also undertaken once the website was launched to check how customers were using the site.
Adjustments were made to ensure that pricing information could be accessed from several areas on the home page, as it was immediately apparent that this information was important to visitors.
The Result
Peak-a-Do has experienced a significant reduction in enquiries relating to the services available and prices. Phone calls are focused on booking a suitable appointment time, minimising interruptions and allowing staff to focus on their current client.
Monitoring targeted keywords over several months in search engines has seen Peak-a-Do move to the first page of all targeted key words, increasing brand awareness within the local area and seeing an increase in the number of new client enquiries.
